Moving from “Manual job” to “Automation” is the key to scaling any business. While in the Training industry, where the relationship between Client and Trainer is of utmost importance, “Automation” may sound repelling. It’s essential to keep your clients engaged and motivated, but at the same time, it’s equally important to automate as much as you can.
We know that all clients are different and thus need different training programs. We performed a lot of research and talked to many trainers about how the program/schedule assignments can be automated.
The payment plans are made rich with rule-based automation. Here’s how:

Configure Workout Schedule
A workout schedule is the fitness training schedule for a given duration. A few are provided by default, if you want to create more - Go to Fitness > Schedules and start creating. Once you have enough schedules to serve each type of client, follow the steps:
Schedule tabSelect Workout Schedule to select Workout Schedules to be auto-assigned when a client purchases this payment plan.
You can eitherSave, and the popup to define Conditions for Auto-Assignment will open.Save. And you’ll have your first rule created.PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ADD A DEFAULT WORKOUT SCHEDULE WITHOUT ANY CONDITIONS - this will be assigned to the clients in case there is no match found
Configure Nutrition To automate Nutrition, you can either rely on the
OR
Meal Plan - if this plan caters to a very specific target customer
We have provided a few meal plans by default, if you want to create more - Go to Nutrition > Meal Plans and start creating.
Next, Select Meal Plans to be auto-assigned when a client purchases this payment plan.
Go to the payment plan created in Step #2 and select the Schedule tab
Click on Select Meal Plan or Add BMR based Meal
If the Meal Plan option is selected, then choose a specific meal plan from the popup.
Once you select a Meal Plan, click Save, and the popup to define Conditions for Auto-Assignment will open.
If no conditions are specified, AND no BMR-based meal is defined, then this Meal Plan becomes the default and is assigned when no better match is found.
Repeat the steps from b to d to create more rules.
You can always edit the conditions of the defined rules or remove a rule altogether as per the need.
If BMR-based meal is selected in the end, it will become the default and be assigned when no better match is found.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ADD A DEFAULT MEAL PLAN WITHOUT ANY CONDITIONS - this will be assigned to the clients in case there is no match found
Configure Supplements
The supplement plans can be configured for automation. Define your own supplement plans from Nutrition > Supplement Plans.
Schedule tabAdd Supplement and choose a Supplement Plan to be auto-assigned when a client purchases this payment plan.SaveConfigure Water & Activity Water Intake targets and Activity targets can be configured.
Add Water and assign some target value of the water intake. This target value will be auto-assigned when a client purchases this payment plan.Save to save the defined water target.Add Activity and assign target values of the various activities performed by the clients (steps, distance, flights, energy). These target values will be auto-assigned when a client purchases this payment plan.Turn On Automation Final but most important step. Don’t forget to check this box on the top. The Automation will work only when this checkbox is checked.

That was the basic guide for defining rules and configuring automation in payment plans. While automation eases the work in so many ways, it’s still important to keep a tab on your clients and maintain personal connections.
Happy Training!
